Rimsha is a 23-year-old unmarried woman living in Baldia, Karachi. She lives with her father, Liaquat Ali Bhatti, who is a worker and earns Rs. 35,000 per month. Rimsha is not working yet, and she faces challenges in managing family responsibilities and finances.
To become financially stable and support her family, Rimsha got the chance to join a basic stitching and fabric designing course with the help of UNDP and HomeNet Pakistan (HNP). Her course fees and transport costs were fully covered. She also received a travel allowance through the EasyPaisa app, which made it easier for her to manage her expenses. During the course, Rimsha learned business skills, improved her abilities, and got tips on selling her work online in the future. She now wants to continue learning and stay connected with HomeNet Pakistan. She hopes to join a computer course, like Microsoft Office or Graphic Designing, with support from UNDP or HNP. This will help her gain better skills and job opportunities.
