Farah Naz is a 32-year-old divorced woman living in Baldia, Karachi. She has no children and lives with her sister, as her father has passed away. Farah was not working but was always looking for a chance to learn new skills so she could support herself financially.
With the support of UNDP and HomeNet Pakistan (HNP), Farah got the opportunity to join a basic stitching and fabric designing course at a vocational training institute. Her course fee and transport expenses were fully covered. She also received a travel allowance through the EasyPaisa app, which helped her manage her daily costs. During the course, Farah gained business knowledge, improved her confidence, and learned how to promote and sell her work online in the future. She now wants to continue learning and stay in touch with HomeNet Pakistan. Farah hopes to enroll in a computer course, like Microsoft Office or Graphic Designing, wi th support from UNDP or HNP. This will help her build better skills and grow her small business.
