Case Studies Of Saniya

Saniya is a 20-year-old young woman living in Musharraf Colony, Karachi. She is a home-based worker who wants to help her family with expenses. Her father, M. Siddique, is a rickshaw driver who earns between Rs. 900 to Rs. 1,000 daily. Saniya faces financial difficulties and struggles with transportation. With the support of UNDP and HomeNet Pakistan (HNP), she joined a vocational training institute to learn basic stitching and fabric designing. Her enrollment fees and transport costs were fully covered. She also received a travel allowance through the EasyPaisa app, which helped her manage her money better. Saniya gained business knowledge, skill-building training, and marketing tips for selling her work online. She now wants to continue her education and stay connected with HomeNet Pakistan. She hopes to join a computer course, like Microsoft Office, with support from UNDP or HNP. This will help her improve her skills and find better job opportunities. Through these training programs, Saniya is working towards financial independence and a better future.
