Rozeena, a 35-year-old married woman and mother of five, is a skilled home-based worker known for her intricate stonework on garments. Her husband, a laborer, earns Rs. 28,000 monthly, but financial challenges prevented Rozeena from pursuing her dream of learning stitching and fashion design. With support from HomeNetPakistan and UNDP, she joined a skill-building program designed to empower women by providing them with the tools and training needed to improve their income and achieve independence. Rozeena participated in a three-month training program at the STEVTA Khadda Market center, where she learned advanced stitching techniques, fashion design, and garment tailoring for local markets. The hands-on training and guidance from experienced trainers helped her quickly master these skills. Her determination and passion for learning allowed her to expand her capabilities and explore new opportunities beyond her traditional stonework. In just three months, Rozeena achieved significant progress, gaining the ability to create trendy designs and tailor a variety of garments. She now plans to start her own tailoring business, partner with nearby boutiques, and grow her market presence.
