Asma Zaib, a 40-year-old unmarried woman with mobility and eyesight disabilities, diligently supports her family through her work in stitching and cutting. Despite her dedication, financial challenges and disability restricted her ability to expand her income. With assistance from HomeNet Pakistan (HNP) and funding from UNDP, Asma attended training sessions where she acquired record-keeping, sales tracking, leadership, and occupational safety skills. She also learned about labor laws and grievance mechanisms, equipping her with the tools to manage her work better and assert her rights. Opening a digital account further enhanced her financial independence. Asma also completed a three-month training program at the STEVTA Khadda Market Center, where she advanced her stitching and fashion design skills. With her transportation costs covered by HNP, she could fully focus on learning. The training increased her income from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 10,000. Grateful for the support, Asma plans to stay connected with HNP and participate in future programs to continue improving her skills and growing her business
